Village Tourism Information

Abundant open space, a golf course, High Cliff State Park, towering cliffs, rich history, 137,000 acre Lake Winnebago, miles of paved and unpaved walking, bicycling, and horseback trails are some of accouterments available to guests and residents of the Village of Sherwood. Go to the bottom of the page to see maps.

Sherwood is part of the greater Fox Cities.  The Fox Cities are comprised of a number of communities along the Fox River including the cities of Appleton, Kaukauna, Menasha and Neenah; the towns of Buchanan, Clayton, Grand Chute, Greenville, Harrison, Kaukauna, Menasha, Neenah and Vandenbroek; and the villages of Combined Locks, Hortonville, Kimberly, Little Chute and Sherwood.  Residents and visitors to the Fox Cities enjoy the wide spectrum of recreational, cultural and educational opportunities available here.

So if after a day of golfing, boating or hiking in Sherwood you want to have an evening on the town, there are plenty of entertainment opportunities in the Fox Cities.  Whether you take in a Broadway production at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, a Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game or pay a visit to one of many area museums, you’ll discover what many of our residents already know -- Sherwood and the Fox Cities are a great place to live, work and play.  There is a wide array of things to do and places to go less than 20 minutes away.

For more information about the Fox Cities, Fox Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau can help you plan your visit, find accommodations, and provide information on a host of sites and festivals and activities to fill your time. You can also find out more information about the fun, cultural downtown area of Appleton here.

Don’t forget shopping!  Fox Cities Mall (www.foxrivermall.com) attracts shoppers from throughout Wisconsin as well as nearby Michigan and Minnesota with its 180 stores including many large “big box” merchandisers and popular restaurants located in the immediate vicinity.

Lodging options are limited in this area.  Several Bed & Breakfasts and small motels are listed on the Travel Calumet County website.  Another option would be to seek lodging on the southeast side of Appleton or Kimberly which is a short 15-minute drive.
